• Background

  Adopted daughter of writer Simon Haddad (a.k.a. Favorite Dad), also adopted by his eventual ex-husband, performer John Pollitz (who she does adore, but is still the "bad cop"). Chrissy became bored with responsibility and set herself in an orphanage in China to be adopted by the loving, spoiling Simon and have yet another childhood, this one involving getting everything she could want at the drop of a hat (or tantrum).
  
  Even after John discovered - and shared - what she was (Simon was on a book tour, and dammit she wanted coffee and couldn't reach the cabinet), Simon chose to allow her to stay at the age that she was and continue to live with him as a father with willful ignorance as long as she continued school at a normal rate. John was a little less forgiving or patient with the charade but eventually came to an understanding and loves her in his own way; around John, she is usually an adult and seeks his advice much like a grown child - say, twenties - would seek advice from a parent.
